Inspiration: This design is taken from Judith Dawson’s watercolour capturing the subtle variations of the pink tones in the beautiful hibiscus flower. The flower symbolises many things around the world including health, power, and respect. It is also a nod back to the vintage designs of the 60’s “flower power” era. For artist Judith Dawson it represents creativity, as she first began to paint and design when she lived in Portugal and was struck by the vibrancy of the hibiscus and other native flora. You can read more about the symbolism of the hibiscus here and Judith’s journey as an artist here.
Hibiscus Pocket Square
The pocket square features a stunning red hibiscus flower overlaid with a chevron stripe in magenta and taupe. There are splashes of green and gold, and a cherry red border to add some bold colour to your jacket. It is a nod back to the “Flower Power” sixties era.
